Struggling to adapt to the environment where he works for a women’s magazine, Ishida was suddenly assigned to step in for a senior colleague to collect a column manuscript from the famous culinary expert Mitsuya Ayumu. Ishida was so nervous on his first visit that he almost fainted, but upon meeting Mitsuya is introduced to a charming, witty gentleman who can cook a delectable dish. Moreover, he was deeply impressed by the meticulous way Mitsuya lived his daily life, which was so different from his own. His interactions with Mitsuya meant Ishida was able to find a sense of fulfilment in his work for the first time, and he gradually becomes drawn to Mitsuya, who he begins to see as more than just a work partner
